Our caretaker, Miss Olivia Peyton, is a very special mistress to her brood-ing bears. We thank her for all the hot bowls of porridge she cooks us, the lovely new clothes she creates for her Twisted Teddies using only the finest vintage fabrics and gems, the stories she reads to us, and of course, for listening to her sometimes difficult charges with patience and understanding.
A true daughter of Bearvaria, descended from the original Swiss bear maker of Bern who crafted King Ludwig's first Twisted Teddy, Olivia has gently cared for and tended to bears since childhood. Besides her busy role as Den Mama, she writes historical novels, our favorite being a very Twisted Tail of 17th century Gothic bareness entitled: Bijoux.
The Twisted Teddies would also like to thank Lucky, the Strega Cat, who provides our community with protection from poachers, misbehaved children and lethargy as she likes to chase us about the house at night when Mistress is asleep. Our Templar Teddy bodyguard was a former assassin prior to her arrival in Bearvaria, and she is also the magical Familiar of our esteemed leader, the Thrice-Great Alchemist Teddy, Hermes.
