With that, Lexi went to the main door to greet his clients, while JC and the rest of the company crept across a very nicely manicured lawn toward the dungeons. Madeline kept glancing at the Duke, yet he remained focused on his goal - saving Miss Olivia. Turning to the shiny-topped Bruce, she whispered loudly enough for Domenico to hear, "Watch out for the Jackal - he and Fichon staged this entire kidnapping."
"Are you sure?" the chauffeur replied, scratching his chrome dome. "My voices said it was...you! I'm sorry Ms. Maddie, but they're never wrong - not ever."
In the meantime, the Duke began to lag behind the others, taking a left turn when the party turned right, soon entering the dungeon through a window he found left ajar. Dropping nimbly to a cellar floor, he immediately heard a
faint murmur and as he turned, he saw a lovely fair-haired woman - Olivia Peyton. She was shackled
to the wall by manacles encircling her wrists and neck, yet comely enough to shame Domenico into the realization that he wanted very badly to...kiss her. Raising a silver clad hand, the good man wiped at one eye, so moved was he by Olivia's plight.
"Who's that - what did I just see shining?" Miss O groaned with despair. "Help me, please..."
From his hiding spot in the shadows, Domenico was shocked to hear another male voice declare, "Olivia Peyton, I am Don Juan Carlos. I am here with your friend Ms. Madeline to free
you. Please, do not speak," the Jackal then whispered.
Crestfallen, Domenico witnessed Olivia managing a brief smile as she reached out to her girlfriend for comfort. How he wished he could hold her instead - ashamed that he had not acted faster, the foreigner crept back through the darkness and returned to Lexi's Daimler limousine.
While the noble-hearted Duke cooled his heels outside, soon deciding to follow his friend Lexi inside the château, JC loosed a pair of tweezers from his Swiss Army knife and
quickly picked the locks to Olivia's manacles.
"I have a cousin in the business," he remarked to Bruce, as the restraints fell
away.

"Please Don Juan, catch Fichon and her accomplice - a skinny dominatrix with a bad wig," the young
Cybersybil muttered through a haze.
"Shhh. I will take care of Fichon and those evil Scorpio Sisters shortly. Now, let's go, Miss Olivia."
Juan Carlos carefully lifted Olivia into his arms, while Madeline made a face at Bruce to indicate her disapproval. The Peyton girl managed to place her trembling arms around
the Jackal's neck, murmuring "Secret" before she passed out.
"Hey!" cried a voice in a dungeon cell adjacent to Olivia's. "What
about
me?"
"Were you kidnapped as well?" the chauffeur asked.
"No. I come here every week. It's just that I've never been saved
before by a dashing man. Please...take me too!"
The Jackal ignored the pleas and kept moving. "A Gemini, no doubt," he said
to the rescue party. "Great imaginations. Always pretending to be
someone else. Must be a great sub."
"That must be your sign," Madeline chortled, glad to be free of JC's clutches.
"Nope, I'm a virginal Virgo," the professional Madame laughed, jostling Olivia in his arms until she opened her eyes, gazing up at him with utter adoration.
Olivia smiled a second time, then placed her head closer against Juan
Carlos' chest. How wonderful, she thought, that the man whom
she had believed to be a jackass was now carrying her off to safety as would a real Prince Charming.
Once out in the fresh air, the Jackal helped his charge to stand, instructing Maddie, "Take her to the Panhard right away, there's water in there."
"No, the limo is better. Bruce, help me carry Miss O. This way, Olivia. Come on, I have you," and the three
disappeared from JC's view as they entered the long white car.
