I am in virtual RLC terriory today, playing with a computer diversion starring Gabriel Knight - which is actually a
brilliant game that takes the participants
through a lot of the mystery of that place. Well, it's caused me to go
through all of my travel artifacts - my son is having a great time with all
of this and I was showing him my photos. I came across the one I have
attached - please see above.
Now, what is interesting about this picture is that it is one of the first
things you see when you arrive in RLC (there is only one road in or out of
the place). The first house on your right as you enter the village has this
strange configuration over the doorway. It looks like it was once a clock,
but it only has these strange markings at the very bottom of the circle -
they are a mixture of astrological and planetary symbols.
NO ONE ever talks about this in the RLC books, which surprises me immensely
since it is so obviously a part of the mystery. I sent the photo to an acquaintance who is a code-breaker of sorts and this is what he had to say...
Thought you all might find the article interesting. Consider this a call to all our member astrologers to put on their Phrygian Caps and crack the mystery!
Of course, we already KNOW the
truth of this place, but I still find Sauniere's antics fascinating to
explore...
