Take two tablets...and call ol' Lone Star in the mornin', cow pokes! That's how I feel when people start takin' allegory literally. Like takin' a couple of aspirin, real quick like.

A while back, I was sittin' 'round the campfire discussin' a set of legendary Stones - not the band, mind y'all - but a pair o' Tablets just 'bout forgotten now-days. Some people call them Emerald and say they was written long ago.

Etched upon them beauties was supposedly the universal law of As Above, So Below, cooked up by that great ol' hash slinger, ol' Hermes T of the Double S ranch.

The cowpokes I was jawin' with decided that rather than focus on the message of them thar Tabula, they'd get all hog-tied and mystified by the shape, size, and yep, even the color of them purdy rocks!

Now ol' Lone Star may be thick as a piece of Texas toast, but even this ol' koot knows that any good trail cook worth his pork & beans would tell y'all that the word Emerald is a big huge signpost 'bout a fancy, gun slingin' town called the Lost Language.

Even though I gots it on authority from ol' Hermes T himself that them thar Tablets are green as grass, I decided to saddle up my pootin' pony and ride over here to soterika.biz to jaw 'bout the possible double-entendre behind the use of that thar gem in a recipe worthy a Universal De-cree.

Howdy to you, Mr. Lone Star, and welcome to soterika.biz. As monitor of this forum, may I extend a secret masonic handshake to you at your ranch in hyperspace. The Emerald Tablets are indeed a wonderful topic to explore - why, did you know that while St. John the Negotiator was meditating on the isle of Crotona (or was that Pythagoras?) he had a vision of the Tablets, which he refers to as the Queen of Heaven. He gives a specific description of this queen; her dimensions are revealed as being those which are found in both man-made and natural constructs. For brevity's sake, the dimensions relevant to this current discussion are...

The Magic Square of Hermes

And another magic square whose name just escapes me, but that's probably because I was up very late last night attending a super-duper secret esoteric meeting at Chartres Cathedral where all the occult writers in attendance drank Bollinger champagne - Bolly for short.

Yeeha! If it ain't the Trail Boss of the dude ranch herself! Iz tippin' my big ol' Stetson to you on this fine Valentine's Day, l'il lady. Pleased to be makin' yer acquaintance.

Why don't you take a seat by the campfire with ol' Lone Star and ask: what if that thar Green Man wasn't really green? What if that thar god Osiris' face wasn't really green? What if that thar term green is a code word? What if the Sufis used it when they named their trail boss El-Khidir or the Green Guy? Or the Hulk?

Go to the Song of Solomon in the Old Testament: "Behold thou art fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: also our bed is green. The beams of our house are cedar, and our ratfers of fir." Many commentators have stumbled over the green bed...did Solomon, a wise and mighty king, do it with the Shulamite on the grass?

Didn't he have him a royal suite or somethin' at his palace, Miz Honey Bee?

Arghhhhhhhhh! Do I have to explain everything around here?

Imagine a circle bound by a square bed on all sides. The measurement of this square in the calculations of the Queen of Heaven's pole star measures 3,680 meters, while the mean circumference of the lintel ring at Stonehenge is 368 feet - get it?

Now don't be gettin' them thar honey bees in yer bonnet, l'il lady. Even I knows that the color green was at one time a widely understood brand of evergreen or everlastin'. Them E-gyptians put purdy green amulets in their tombs as symbols of eternal youth and a reminder of that which is everlastin', evergreen, fresh, young, and immortal...

Furthermore, from memory, the Kabbalistic gematria for the Queen of Heaven's pole star adds up to 368.

There's more, Mr. Lone Star, however I have a nasty case of the sniffles and can't focus, so we'll leave it for the moment. At least now we've established some parameters.
